Cash deposit car rentals can be a tough find these days. Below are the payment policies for EZ Rent-a-Car:

Paying for your E-Z Car Rental

You may pay for your rental with any of the following:
American Express®
Diners Club International®
Discover®
MasterCard® - debit or credit
Visa®  - debit or credit

EZ Rent a Car does not accept pre-paid credit cards, electron cards, key chain credit cards, gift cards. Debit cards (i.e. check cards) with a Visa or Mastercard logo are accepted.

They also do not accept cash as a form of payment at the time of rental (pickup); however, cash will be accepted upon return. They must be able to make an imprint of the raised type on the credit card in order to accept it.

EZ Rent-a-Car accepts cash deposit rentals making this rental company a popular one with customers without immediate access to a major credit card.

In order to use cash as a deposit up front,  you cannot hold a drivers license from the same state as the renting location.  This means that local renters are essentially not allowed to participate in cash rentals. Not sure why. At least they offer cash rentals, most companies don't have this option for anyone.

Those who do qualify must leave a deposit of $200 in addition to the estimated cost of the car rental. If no proof of collision and/or liability is provided, you will also have to get additional SLI and/or CDW insurance. This is common practice with all car rental companies.
